Learning a new language actually proceeds in the following manner:

Grammar and vocabulary lessons with particular objectives are extracted from each context.

The trainer only speaks to you in the language you are learning based on pronunciation and spelling.

Every class, you put what you have learned into practice by practising the new language.

Your progress is frequently assessed so the instructor can determine if you are grasping the material or whether you need more help to achieve your objectives.
